Lewis O’Brien joined HTTV for an exclusive interview to discuss his new contract with the Club!
Starting on the Academy training pitches and working our way across Canalside to illustrate the journey Lewis has been on since joining Town when he was just 10 years old, he tells us in his own words what motivated him to extend his contract and what the Club means to him.
Touching on his time in the Academy, winning Player of the Year in our development squad and going on loan to Bradford City in League One, it was a great opportunity to catch up with the now 22 year old on how much his career has progressed in the past few years and look ahead to what he thinks the future might have in store for him both individually and as a player for Huddersfield Town.
We touch on his ever-growing bond with Town left-back Harry Toffolo, their habit of wearing the same trainers to matches and how that closeness is something that is now being replicated across our entire first team squad. You can also hear what Lewis thinks of working under Carlos Corberán, and what he thinks the team are capable of achieving together in the next few seasons.
Lewis also highlights his relationship with the Huddersfield Town fans - some of whom have watched him play right the way through from the Under-11s team in 2002 – and comments on his infamous chant.
