That number includes several Young Terriers from the Academy who are making an impact at senior level in the early stages of their respective campaigns. htafc.com has a look at their seasons so far.

Romoney Crichlow at Swindon Town

The defender joined the Sky Bet League 2 side on a season-long loan this summer, and has enjoyed a promising start.

The 22-year-old has played in every game so far since his arrival, and goes into the international break having enjoyed back-to-back victories against Salford City and Mansfield Town.

Crichlow also scored the only goal in Swindon’s 2-1 loss to Carlisle United.

Kieran Phillips at Walsall

Phillips has settled in well to life at Walsall, making six appearances so far.

The forward has been played both upfront and on the left wing, and scored his first league goal for the Sky Bet League 2 side in a 1-1 draw against Scunthorpe United.

He also found the back of the net during the Saddlers’ Carabao Cup Round One penalty shootout against Doncaster Rovers.

Jacob Chapman at Gateshead

One of four goalkeepers currently out on loan, Chapman joined up with the Vanarama National League North side on a season-long loan.

The Australian ‘keeper has been the Tynesiders’ no.1 in all three of their games so far this season, which have seen them secure two wins and a draw.

The 20-year-old showcased a phenomenal double save to deny Chester, which you can see below.

Ernaldo Krasniqi at Falkirk

Under-19 midfielder, Ernaldo Kranisiqi, moved north of the border ahead of the 2021/22 season.

Linking up with Falkirk, the 18-year-old has made three appearances so far for the Scottish League One side.

Standing at 6’5” tall, Krasniqi will be pushing for his first league start with the Bairns.

Michael Roxburgh at Billingham

Work experience moves work like loans for players who are still on Academy scholarships and not on full-time professional contracts. They are open-ended, with no end date, and offer good flexibility to clubs.

The ‘keeper has made seven starts to date for in the ninth tier of English football.
