B Team midfielder Connor Shanks is set to gain further experience of senior football through a loan spell with Nuneaton Borough.
The 19-year-old impressed the management at Nuneaton last week when he grabbed a goal and an assist as a substitute in our 2-1 Premier League Cup win over Birmingham City, which was played at their Liberty Way ground.

He now joins the Boro, who play in the Pitching In Southern League Premier Division Central – that’s the seventh tier of the English football pyramid – until 17 October inclusive.
Managed by Jimmy Ginnelly, Nuneaton’s next game comes tonight (Tuesday 21 September 2021) at Racing Club Warwick.
As the move is a Youth Loan, Connor can still appear for Town’s B Team in matches if needed.
An attack-minded central midfield player, Connor joined Town as a free agent in August 2021. His previous experience in men’s football came in the Papa John’s Trophy, in which he made three appearances for Bradford City last season.
Connor joins a number of his Academy teammates in gaining more senior experience through a non-league loan spell, including Jacob Chapman (Gateshead), Michael Roxburgh (Billingham Town), Josh Okpolokpo (Pontefract Collieries), Max Dearnley (Ossett United) and David Adewoju (Ossett United).
