Last week’s monthly meeting of the Disabled Supporters Club had a very special guest – Town Ambassador Michael Hefele!
‘Hef’ has been out and about in the community since returning to the Club in his new off-the-field role in late July and his latest visit was to the Disabled Supporters Club, spending a fantastic evening with the group.
Michael met the members of the Club before taking centre stage to speak to them about his new role at Town, which encompasses both a community element and a coaching and mentoring role with our Academy players. Since returning to the Terriers, Hef has surprised kids at Town Foundation camps, spent time with sponsors on match days and much, much more!
He also lifted the lid on what it was like as a player during the amazing 2016/17 promotion to the Premier League, along with many more funny stories!
Hef went down a storm, leaving big shoes to fill at the next meeting. However, the Disabled Supporters Club have stepped up to the challenge – and Head Coach Carlos Corberán will join them in October!
If you are interested in joining these meetings, which typically happen in the second week of every month, please contact Disabled Supporters Club Chairman Dave Heatherhill on daveheatherill14@gmail.com for details on how to join.
There are other benefits to Disabled Supporters Club membership too, such as meeting your fellow fans and receiving a monthly newsletter!
