Duane Holmes says Huddersfield Town’s 2-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest is a tough result to take.
It was a frustrating result for the Terriers, as they were unable to break down Forest.
Speaking to HTTV after the game, Holmes was quick to comment on how the team were feeling.
“It’s a difficult one.
“The goals were poor, really poor.
“Credit to Forest – they came and defended well.
“It’s probably a carbon copy of how we played against Sheffield United, sat 5-4-1 and defended well and looked for the counter.
“The goals were really sloppy.
“The first one was a carbon copy of our attack that we should defend better.
“The second one we created ourselves, a little half press, we maybe tried and played where we shouldn’t, and we got caught out.
“It’s a tough one.
“We know we’re a lot better than that.”
The midfielder also said that despite Nottingham’s problems off the pitch, Nottingham were also going to be a hard team to play.
“They’re a lot better than the table suggests.
“They’re a squad full of good players, they have been for a while, and obviously there might be a little bit of a hangover from last season, they didn’t end their season well.
“It’s hard to pick yourself back up from that, but it’s obviously difficult when the manager’s just been sacked, and the players have a spring in their step and want to prove themselves.
“I’m not surprised by how well they played.”
