TRAVEL NOTE: ROADWORKS ON A62

15 October 2021

Information on traffic works on route to the John Smith’s Stadium

- Information on roadworks in our vicinity
- Resurfacing taking place on the A62 near Cooper Bridge roundabout
- Works will move down the A62 through to December

Town fans need to be aware of resurfacing works taking place on the A62 in the Bradley and Mirfield areas ahead of Saturday’s Sky Bet Championship game against Hull City.

This important work, which is currently scheduled to run until 6 December 2021, will impact an important route to the John Smith’s Stadium, and we would strongly recommend that you find an alternate route or give yourselves much more time to make it to games.

The works will impact the A62 Leeds Road between Bradley Road junction and Stocks Bank Road junction, with work split into different phases.

This started on Monday (11 October 2021) with the section between Cooper Bridge roundabout and the Miller & Carter restaurant.

Works are scheduled to take place between 6am and 7pm every day, with full road closures outside these hours. Inside those hours, the road will be reduced to at least one lane with reduced speed limits in place.

Although the roadworks will not take place on Saturday home match days or when we have an evening match scheduled, it may well be down to one lane.

As such, please give yourselves much more time to travel or, ideally, find an alternative route.

There are also M62 works planned in the Yorkshire region from 18 October – click HERE for more information.

There is still time to secure your place at the John Smith’s Stadium for our Yorkshire derby against Hull City on Saturday 16 October! CLICK HERE to buy online.
