Huddersfield Town supporters can now sponsor the incredible Worthington Walk participants as they prepare to walk 22 miles across West Yorkshire on Saturday 16 October, alongside finding out the route they will be taking!
The Worthington Walk, sponsored by Deliveree, is paying tribute to Town legend Frank Worthington who sadly passed away earlier this year, and will see over 140 participants take on the gruelling trek.
The walk will begin at 5am at Leeds United’s Elland Road, going through Lower Wortley, Birkenshaw, Hipperholme, Halifax Town centre then on to FC Halifax Town’s The Shay on the 14 mile marker.
Walk sponsors Deliveree will serve the walkers a hot breakfast, and the event will be bolstered by even more participants joining for the remaining 7 miles.
The walk will then carry on through Elland, Rastrick and into Huddersfield, ending at the John Smith’s Stadium on 22 miles.
The participants will take part in a lap of honour prior to the Terriers’ home game against Hull City that day at around 2.45pm. For those of you attending the game against the Tigers’, please try and get to your seats early to show them your supporter!

Huddersfield Town’s Club Ambassador, Andy Booth, commented:
“To have over 140 people joining the Club on this event is absolutely incredible.
“After a really difficult few years for everyone it will be wonderful to get that community feel back and see so many of our supporters joining together for two great causes.
“We are so looking forward to paying our respects to Frank, and we’d love Town fans to support us by donating whatever they can to our fundraising page.”
The Walk is the sixth event of its kind, with past events raising upwards of £165,000 for various charities.
The Club would like to thank Deliveree, Stotts coaches, Lottie Shaw’s, AMT Auto, Shepley Spring, Big Dog Workwear, FC Halifax Town, all our support team volunteers, the Worthington family, and all the participants for their fantastic support.
