- B Team face Walsall on Wednesday 27 October 2021

Huddersfield Town B Team midfielder Etienne Camara is pleased to be back on track after his pre-season was interrupted by injury.

Sitting down with HTTV, Camara is ready to push on.

“It wasn’t the beginning I wanted, because in pre-season I only played one game.

“I got an injury to my hamstring, but now it’s much better.

“I’m back with the team and it’s a great feeling.”

Having officially made the step up to the B Team this season, the midfielder acknowledged that playing alongside compatriots Brahima Diarra and Loick Ayina benefits him on the pitch.

“It helps me a lot.

“We are always together outside the pitch, so on the pitch it’s easy to play with them.

“It helps me a lot.”

The 18-year-old also discusses what his focus is for 2021/22.

“I’m trying to improve my speed, my heading, and my long passes.

“I want to improve myself and play with the First Team before the end of the season.”

The B Team are back in action on Wednesday 27 October 2021, when they welcome Walsall in the Central League. Fans are able to attend, and Camara commented on the importance of fan support at games.

“Hopefully, we are going to win and practice what we’ve been doing in training.

“I’m excited.

“It’s a good feeling to play in front of fans.

“They help us a lot, so it’s a good thing!”
