Head Coach Carlos Corberán acknowledges that Huddersfield Town had a slow first half against Luton Town in the Sky Bet Championship.
Town saw out a 0-0 draw at Kenilworth Road in their final game before the international break.
Speaking after the game, Corberán discussed his initial thoughts.
“I think it’s clear that the demand of the game was really, really, really high today.
“We knew that before we arrived to play this game.
“In the last two games that Luton played at home they scored three goals against Reading in the first half and four against Coventry, so our intention was to have a competitive mind and be able to compete in the game.
“They were better than us in the first half, they controlled all the attacks.
“They were better in the first half and Huddersfield were better in the second half.”
Scott High came into the ranks with both Jonathan Hogg and Álex Vallejo sidelined with injuries. Town’s Head Coach explained the faith he has in his squad to be able to step up when need be.
“I’ve always said that I like a minimum of two players who can play in each position for each game.
“Scott High is a player who can adapt to more offensive play and a more offensive position in the midfield.
“I always have a lot of trust in my squad.
“They can all help the team when they need to help the team.”
The Spaniard also commented on what he’s made of the season so far as Town go into the second international break.
“The first part of the season so far, up until we got the international break, was very positive.
“If I analyse the results that we’ve had in the second half the results weren’t too positive.
“We lost three games and won two games.
“We always want to have a better result, but I know in the Championship that these results can happen.”
