Danny Ward says the first 45 minutes in Huddersfield Town’s 2-1 defeat to Middlesbrough is what let them down.
It was a disappointing result for the Terriers, who struggled to get into the game.
Speaking to HTTV post-match, Ward gave his verdict on the match.
“The first half wasn’t good enough, they bossed it all over the pitch.
“The second half, we showed a bit of a reaction, but overall, the first half killed us.”
The forward went on to discuss what the side can take from the game.
“We just can’t give teams those opportunities because teams will punish us if we give them those chances to attack and have the ball.
“If we let them create chances, they’ll put the chances away.”
Town are back in action on Saturday 4 December 2021, when they travel to face Barnsley at the Oakwell Stadium. Ward commented on the upcoming fixture.
“It’s been a tough week.
“We’ve got a full week to prepare now and recover for the game.
“It’s a good opportunity to put it right.”
