Ticket Office will begin to enforce £10 charge for Season Card exchanges on match days
- Growing number of Season Card Holders asking for printed tickets
- Fee in line with Season Card terms and conditions
- Decision taken to reduce waiting times and queues at Ticket Office on match day
Starting at our next home game against West Brom on Saturday 20 November, Season Card Holders looking for printed tickets on match days will be charged a fixed £10 fee.
In line with the terms and conditions of Town Season Cards, this charge will now be enforced to ensure that priority match day tasks can be given full the required time and resource.
While the Ticket Office has previously been lenient regarding forgotten Season Cards or printed tickets being requested on the day of a game, this has caused a long queues and delays to usual services at recent home matches.
Fans are reminded that as well as accessing the John Smith’s Stadium with your physical Season Card, there is now the additional option of an e-ticket via Digital Delivery, which can be added to your smartphone wallet.
Ticket Office Manager Gina Buckley commented:
“Whilst ensuring that you have your Season Card with you to access home matches and the resulting fee if that isn’t adhered to has long been part of our terms and conditions, the Club has previously not exercised our option to do so – and does not take this stance lightly.
“However, at recent matches the queues caused by Season Card Holders looking to gain access to the stadium without their pass with them have become unsustainable, and our Ticket Office staff are being taken away from meaningful match day duties in order to service these requests.
“This is being enforced to ensure that our Ticket Office can provide the best and most efficient service on match day, and we would encourage all fans to either bring their Season Card with them to all home matches or take up the Digital Delivery option of having their e-ticket within their smartphone wallet.”
