All you need to know ahead of Wednesday evening’s game

Huddersfield Town continue their Sky Bet Championship campaign when they travel to face Queens Park Rangers at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium; 7.45pm kick-off.

Town go into the game following their 1-0 win over West Bromwich Albion on Saturday 20 October 2021.

QPR come into the game off the back of a 2-0 victory over Luton Town on Friday 19 November 2021.

THE OPPOSITION

QPR finished last season sitting 9th in the Sky Bet Championship table with 68 points.

Managed by Mark Warburton, the Hoops currently sit sixth in the Championship table, having picked up eight wins, five draws, and five losses so far.

QPR will be looking to extend their unbeaten run to five when they welcome the Terriers to the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium on Wednesday, following wins over Luton Town and Cardiff City, and draws with Blackpool and Nottingham Forest.

ONES TO WATCH

Rob Dickie

Dickie signed for QPR from Oxford United in September 2020, putting pen-to-paper on a four-year deal. In his first season at the club, the central defender made 43 starts, scoring three goals in the process. The end of the 2020/21 season saw him win Supporters’ Player of the Year, Players’ Player of the Year, and Goal of the Season for his long-ranged goal against Middlesbrough in April 2021. So far this campaign, the 25-year-old has scored twice and bagged an assist in 18 starts.

Stefan Johansen

The midfielder initially joined the Hoops on loan from Fulham in January 2021. Following a successful loan spell, he returned to W12 on a permanent deal in July 2021. The 30-year-old’s loan spell saw him score three goals and bag two assists in 21 starts. The 2021/22 season has seen Johansen make 15 starts so far, netting one goal and two assists in the process.

Ilias Chair

The 24-year-old linked up with QPR’s Under-23 side in January 2017. Having impressed then Manager Ian Holloway, he made his First Team debut in the Club’s First Round Carabao Cup tie against Northampton Town in August 2017. Chair made 45 appearances for the Hoops last season, finding the back of the net on eight occasions. The current campaign has seen the midfielder bag six goals in 17 appearances so far, including a brace against Birmingham City in September 2021.

TEAM NEWS

Town Head Coach Carlos Corberán provided an update on the fitness of his squad during his virtual press conference on Monday 22 November 2021.

Town will be in their navy away kit for Wednesday evening’s game. We will be wearing our famous black socks with our away kit to avoid a clash with the home side.
