Town were edged out 2-1 by Cardiff City, having led on 1-0 at half-time thanks to Danel Sinani’s first goal for the Club.
A double for Kieffer Moore in the second half was enough to secure the win for the home side, with the tall forward heading in twice late on after the break.
Town had started brightly and took the lead through Danel Sinani after he had latched on to a loose pass back and finished neatly under Alex Smithies, but the Terriers weren’t able to finish the game off despite coming close to m a number of times.
With two efforts striking the same upright in the second-half, the luck wasn’t with Huddersfield in South Wales.
First, a strong Levi Colwill header from a Sorba Thomas corner was miraculously turned against the post by Town Academy graduate Alex Smithies, before Danny Ward’s neat dink over the keeper after racing clean through spun off the turn the wrong way and came straight back off the face of the goal frame.
Town now go into the international break.
