Striker reviews Sheffield Wednesday win

- 19-year-old pleased with teams performance

B Team striker Kian Harratt was delighted to score a hat-trick in the Young Terriers’ 4-0 victory over Sheffield Wednesday at Canalside on Tuesday afternoon.

Huddersfield Town B were dominant in yet another high scoring victory for the side, and Harratt was pleased his team could add another win to their tally.

“I think we’re on a roll at the minute!

“Obviously, it’s good to get three goals as well and continue my run.

“It was a good game.

“We’re playing these higher profile sides and beating them all with comfortable leads as well.

“It just shows how good we are.”

The striker got himself a hat-trick, something he’s the first to admit he’s been waiting for.

“I’m buzzing!

“I could have had it last week, but I missed a penalty!

“I’m glad to have finished one off and got my hat-trick.

“I’m here to score goals, that’s what I want to do.

“I’m just happy I’m scoring at the minute.”

The 19-year-old was also quick to acknowledge that despite the scoreline, Wednesday did work hard to keep them at bay at points.

“We knew that they were going to be a defensive side and so we needed to work hard to break them down, and that’s exactly what we did.

“Worthy said at half-time that they’d come out after the break and try and get into us.

“We stuck to our game plan and cut them open, which we did.

“We didn’t manage to score as many in the second half, but I got my hat-trick, so I’m happy!”

Tuesday afternoon’s game saw Danny Grant make his first appearance back from injury, playing 20 minutes. Harratt was delighted for his fellow forward.

“I’m buzzing for him!

“He’s been back in training and he’s a good lad.

“He’s been looking sharp in training, and when he came on, he caused Wednesday a problem.

“I think we’ll make a good partnership up front!”

The B Team are back in action on Wednesday 17 November, when they travel to face Newcastle United in their next Premier League Cup game. The striker says Tuesday’s game was good preparation.

“We’re all confident at the minute, so we’re almost just ticking games off before that one comes.

“We want to do what we did against Sheffield Wednesday to Newcastle United, and get another win.”
