18-year-old B Team midfielder joins Nuneaton Borough for his first ever loan move

Huddersfield Town B Team midfielder Ben Midgley has joined Nuneaton Borough on an initial one-month long loan.
Having first signed for the Club in 2019 from Blackburn Rovers, the 18-year-old local lad comes from a family of Town fans, and is leaving on his first loan deal since becoming a Terrier.
A regular in Jon Worthington’s B Team, he is an energetic player who has a great range of passing.
He becomes our second B Team player to have been on loan at Nuneaton this season after Connor Shanks enjoyed a successful spell at Liberty Way. Connor has recently returned to Town after scoring twice in 11 starts for the Warwickshire-based Southern League Premier Division Central club.
Commenting on the loan, Huddersfield Town Loan Manager David Fox said:
“It’s another really positive loan for us. Connor Shanks had a really productive and positive loan there, they looked after him really well, so it’s a good on for Ben to follow on the same sort of route. Ben has played lots of minutes for the B Team this year and done really well, so this is just the natural next step for him.
“After the period he was out injured for last season he’s come back really well, and this is something we always had on the agenda for him so we’re thankful to get it done. Hopefully he can now push on and get plenty of minutes for the Nuneaton first team.”
