SHOP SALES RAISE MORE THAN £8,000 FOR TOWN FOUNDATION

21 May 2021

Thank you from everybody at Huddersfield Town

- Fans support Town Foundation via shop.htafc.com
- Club’s charity continues to support people of all ages and backgrounds
- Comment from Fundraising Executive Lisa Bottomley

Huddersfield Town supporters have raised more than £8,000 for the Town Foundation through shop.htafc.com since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic!

The money will be allocated to the Club’s charity’s unrestricted funding pot, meaning it can be used to support any of its community facing programmes.

Products involved include the Town-branded face coverings, of which £1 of each sale is donated to the Foundation.

Fans have also given fantastic support to the Town Trumps designed in partnership with local artist Tom Bradshaw and the £5 ‘Early Kick-Off’ Breakfast Club vouchers, which directly support the scheme that has now served more than two million meals since 2012.

In addition, basket round-ups at checkout have contributed significantly to the total raised.

As an example, £100 means 333 children can have a meal at our Breakfast Clubs. That same total can also provide a full training kit for one of our education students or deliver four group activity sessions to reduce isolation amongst older people.

On the money raised, Town Foundation Fundraising Executive Lisa Bottomley commented:

“The support we receive from the Club’s supporters has always been exceptional, but the events of the last 14 months have seen this go to another level.

“Every penny donated, social media interaction or session taken part is truly appreciated and makes a huge difference to our offering, so thank you for your continued support.”

Face coverings and Breakfast Club vouchers can still be purchased via the online megastore or Stadium Terrier Store.

The Town Foundation supports people of all ages across Kirklees, from Primary School children through the Premier League Primary Stars programme to those over 50 that take part in Sporting Memories.

Other key projects include its college and foundation degree level education programmes and community sport activity, with a range of free activities taking place every week at Leeds Road Sports Complex.

You can keep up to date with the Town Foundation’s activities via their Social Media channels: Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn. Regular updates are also posted on the ‘News and Events’ tab of www.htafcfoundation.com.

You can also get in touch via email: enquiries@htafcfoundation.com and a member of the team will be in touch.
