Huddersfield Town defender Rarmani Edmonds-Green was delighted with his late equaliser against Reading.

The young defender bagged an equaliser in the Terriers’ final match of the 2020/21 Sky Bet Championship season.

That strike was Rarmani’s second of the season and he explained how happy he was with it.

“I’m over the moon really,” smiled the defender. “I’m not normally in that position and as I looked across there wasn’t a pass available, so I whacked it in!

“It was a great pass from Bacca, the pass gave me a lot of time to think about what I wanted to do, I took my shot and luckily it found the net.”

The 22-year-old gave his thoughts on the 2020/21 campaign and detailed how keen he is to stake his claim for a regular spot.

“We are disappointed with the season as a whole; we didn’t finish as high up in the table as we would have liked to.

“We wanted to secure our Championship status much earlier than we did but the main thing is we have got it done and now we need to prepare for next season.

“I have to be patient and wait for my chance and when I do get it, hopefully I can take it.

“Right now, I have to keep working hard, keep showing the gaffer what I can do and go from there.”

Rarmani also discussed how grateful he is to senior figures like Christopher Schindler, Richard Stearman, Tommy Elphick and Richard Keogh.

“I can take knowledge from the senior defenders at the football club and apply it to my game on the pitch.

“I am grateful for and give thanks to them for helping me develop my playing style.”
