Wakefield-based law firm Newport Land & Law is the latest winner of the Shooting Stars Award in association with PIB Insurance Brokers.
The Yorkshire legal firm has announced it is creating new jobs and has doubled the size of its headquarters as it aims to expand nationally.
Newport Land and Law is based at Nostell Priory in West Yorkshire. It has created four jobs, following a property market “boom” in 2020 and launched a range of measures to support young talent into legal careers.
As it aims to expand across the country, the firm is considering new offices in Oxford and South Wales, with additional offices planned across the UK.
Anna Newport, director of Newport Land and Law, said:
“I’m honoured to receive the Shooting Star Award. It puts the cherry on a busy year for me and my team at Newport Land and Law. Not only have we supported clients in a pressured housing market but also grown our team and expanded the range of services we offer.”
Richard Blackburn, Managing Director of PIB Insurance Brokers, commented:
“Newport Land & Law are another worthy winner of this award, Anna & her team should be proud of their continued growth, and I hope their expansion plans lead to even more success.”
Huddersfield Town’s Commercial Manager, John Williams, said:
“Despite the challenges we’ve all faced over the past 12 months, it’s fantastic to see Newport Land and Law doing so well with a move to new premises. Well done to Anna and her team”.
