Huddersfield Town’s Head of Goalkeeping, Paul Clements, commented:

“I’m delighted that Jacob’s been called up to the Australian Under-23 squad! It’s been a goal of his over the last couple of years and it shows the progression he’s made at the Club.

“He’s gone from strength and strength and we’ve trusted him on our First Team bench on a number of occasions.

“He was really unlucky to get injured at the start of the season. We had a lot of interest from clubs wanting to take him on loan, so it’s excellent that he’s come back fighting and this call-up is well deserved.

“This training camp will be an excellent experience for him and I’m sure he will come back to us with even more confidence ready for the 2021/22 season."
