Juninho set for World Cup qualifying action

- Juninho Bacuna called-up by Curaçao
- Midfielder to feature in 2022 World Cup qualifiers
- Bacca scored a brace in the March 2021 international break

Huddersfield Town midfielder Juninho Bacuna has received another call-up for Curaçao!

Bacca already has six caps for Curaçao and looks set to play a vital part in the CONCACAF Qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup.

Curaçao are currently top of Group C of the North, Central American and Caribbean section of the qualifying campaign for the tournament, which will be held in Qatar next year.

They secured wins over Saint Vincent & the Grenadines and Cuba in the March 2021 international break. The game against Saint Vincent saw ‘Bacca’ score his first international goals for Curaçao by bagging a brace!

The midfielder will travel to Curaçao from Monday 31 May, potentially until Tuesday 15 June, and participate in a minimum of two games. The first game is against the British Virgin Islands on Saturday 5 June 2021, whilst the second sees them play Guatemala on Tuesday 8 June 2021.

If Curaçao proceed to the next round of qualifiers, they will play two more games on Saturday 12 June 2021 and Tuesday 15 June 2021 against the winner of Group D.
