Head Coach Carlos Corberán says three members of his Huddersfield Town squad are in contention to make their return from injury during Saturday’s trip to Queens Park Rangers.

Jonathan Hogg, Danny Ward and Alex Pritchard are all set to be available for the Sky Bet Championship encounter at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium having been back in training this week.

The former two have completed slightly longer recovery processes to return to the training pitch ahead of the match in the capital.

“These players have made the training with the group, both players (Hogg and Ward) have options to be available with the squad,” said Carlos speaking in his pre-match press conference on Thursday afternoon.

“We know it’s a long time Danny has been without minutes in the competition, we’ve had to adapt his body to the demanding again, so the minutes he played with the B Team was important for him.”

Pritchard also played 65 minutes in that game and scored as he returned to the pitch having missed the Terriers’ last two games with a knock.

“After the injury he had, he returned to the training this week.

“The minutes he played for the B Team were important in accelerating the process.

“He will be one of the options we have.”

In his pre-match press conference, Town’s Head Coach also spoke about Yaya Sanogo’s impact since joining the Club as a free agent last month and how he plans to manage the French forward’s minutes off the back of his first competitive start in over a year against Cardiff City last time out.

“We took a bit of a risk in the last game in terms of keeping him on the pitch, but I felt his level was growing as the game went on,” Carlos explained.

“I took the decision to accelerate that process because of the number of games we have left.

“His adaptation was very positive and now we need to manage his training and playing time well.”
