QUARANTINE RULES FOR PLAYERS ON INTERNATIONAL DUTY

24 March 2021

Juninho Bacuna and Pipa are on international duty abroad

- Find out how international duty affects lockdown rules
- Juninho Bacuna and Pipa are away on international duty
- Players can still train and play matches

Huddersfield Town have Juninho Bacuna and Pipa away on international duty, but how do the current lockdown rules affect their return to the Club?

Juninho Bacuna has travelled to Curaçao during the March break as his side takes on Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and Cuba, whilst Pipa will be playing in Slovenia for Spain in the U21 Euros.

Despite travelling overseas, we can confirm that both players will still be able to train and play in matches upon their return to the Club.

Following the latest set of EFL regulations, it’s been confirmed that both Juninho Bacuna and Pipa will be required to quarantine for 10 days on their return to the UK. Although, they will still retain the ability to train and play matches during this period.

After five days of being in quarantine, the pair will be able to take a COVID-19 ‘Test to Release’ test, and if they come back negative, they will no longer need to self-isolate.
