Huddersfield Town B Team forward Micah Obiero has completed a loan move to Vanarama National League side FC Halifax Town for the rest of the 2020/21 season!

The 20-year-old, who can play through the middle or out wide, joins the Shaymen ahead of their home game against Weymouth at the Shay Stadium on Monday 5 April.

Micah joined the Town Academy after a successful trial in April 2018 and progressed through the age groups to make his Championship debut at Millwall on the final day of last season.

The Londoner spent two and a half months on loan at Sky Bet League 2 side Carlisle United earlier this season, returning in January with one goal from six appearances in all competitions.

He will now work under Halifax boss Pete Wild as Halifax try to further their promotion chances, after their 2-2 draw with league leaders Sutton United on Saturday.

Head of Football Operations Leigh Bromby explained:

“This loan is the right move for Micah, as it will provide a lot of experiences that will benefit him over the long term.

“He took a lot from his previous loan at Carlisle, where he had to live away and was part of a senior dressing room. Now his challenge is to break into a Halifax team that is doing well this season, and that have a lot of games coming up between now and the end of the season.

“Micah will continue to train with us as well as Halifax, so we’ll be able to continue his development too.”
