Huddersfield Town have two and a half week break before their next Sky Bet Championship fixture and Carlos Corberán aims to use the time cleverly!

After Town’s 1-1 draw against Sheffield Wednesday, Corberán spoke about his priorities for training in the upcoming international break.

“First we have some players that have been working a lot who need some rest.

“After that we need to work with the players who have missed out on part of the year and haven’t played a lot; that could be Danny Ward, that could be Yaya Sanogo who wasn’t with us before.

“The target is to recover the players at the beginning of the week who have played a lot of minutes and try to accelerate the progress of the players who have had less minutes and get them working more."

Corberán then went on to talk about his hopes to get Rolando Aarons back to fitness.

"We’re trying to see if we can get Rolando Aarons recovered. Unfortunately he’s the only one we’re going to recover right now from an injury point of view.

“We don’t want to lose any more players in this period of time knowing that we are going to do some hard work to accelerate the adaptation of the players to the demands of the Championship.

“The idea is to increase the squad for the rest of the season.”
