Huddersfield Town Head Coach Carlos Corberán reserved special praise for his players after the 1-0 win at Queens Park Rangers.
The Terriers performed admirably and won all three points courtesy of a Juninho Bacuna strike in the second half.
When speaking after the game, Carlos expressed his delight about the spirit his side showed against QPR.
“We knew how difficult it would be to play against QPR today because we know the dynamic that they are in. We knew that they are a team with confidence.
“Today it was very clear that we needed to beat the moment that we were suffering. We knew they would be brave in attack, will put many players in the offensive half, and make a high press. We needed to play with a clear mentality.
“The spirit of the players today knowing when to suffer and when to use our opportunities on the counter was excellent today.”
That was Town’s first away win since Halloween and Carlos gave his thoughts on turning his side’s away form around.
“Sometimes the results are not showing the performances of the team, then sometimes the performances don’t show the results you’re getting.
“In some of the games where we played the dynamic we have; we’ve had good performances, but we didn’t get anything. In other games, you try your best, but you cannot, you don’t get the result and don’t play well.
“I think it’s important to have the confidence in our ideas, in our players, and for them to have confidence in themselves and show the spirit they showed today.
“With a spirit like this you can come here (to places like the Kiyan Prince Community Stadium) and get something positive.”
