An opportunity has arisen at Huddersfield Town for an experienced individual to provide key legal and regulatory support to staff and managers in different areas of the business, in the newly-created role of Legal Counsel.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and with regular day-to-day contact with members of the Board, the post holder will have day-to-day responsibility for a broad range of legal affairs. The successful candidate will be at the forefront of ensuring that the Club receives timely, effective, and best-practice legal advice.

This is a broad and varied role in which you will be required to advise on a range of legal matters including corporate, commercial, sporting, property, and employment. You will need to be fully conversant with specific rules and regulations relating to football, with proven experience of working in a fast-paced legal and/or business environment.

Candidates must hold a recognised Legal Practice qualification and have experience of working on a diverse range of legal issues, and with different clients.

The successful candidate will be solution-oriented and well-organised with high level attention to detail, effective time-management and communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
