- Defender ‘can’t wait’ to be back on the pitch
- First Team pre-season begins next week
Huddersfield Town defender Rarmani Edmonds-Green is so eager to get going for the 2021/22 season, he’s come back to training early!
The defender has linked up with the B Team, whose pre-season starts two weeks before the First Team, to get a head start on his teammates.
“I chose to come back and start early with the B Team because it was just a really good opportunity and I missed the environment and I missed Huddersfield!
“I wanted to come up and get some work in and obviously I know the B Team lads well and I knew that they were going to be working hard, so it’ll help me get that extra push so that I’m ready for when I start back with the First Team next week.
“I really wanted to give myself a head start!”
The 22-year-old admits he can’t wait for the new season to start following the off-season.
“I can’t wait to get playing again!
“Football’s my life. I enjoy it so much and I just can’t wait to get back out there and start the new season.
“You obviously need to rest and get that time in with your family, but you need to make sure that you’re still keeping in shape for when you get back.
“I think it was a break that I needed for myself both mentally and physically, but after the four weeks I just thought it was time to come back and get going all over again.”
Edmonds-Green also took the time to discuss what he hopes to achieve in the upcoming campaign.
“I want to play as many games as possible!
“Hopefully stay injury free, help the team out and secure my place in the First Team so that I’m playing every week.”
