Huddersfield Town’s home kit for the 2021/22 Sky Bet Championship season is available to pre-order now!
The players, and supporters, will be “wearing history” for the upcoming campaign as the kit pays tribute to Herbert Chapman’s FA Cup winning side of 1922. On 22 April 1922, Town beat Preston North End at Stamford Bridge to win the trophy for the first, and only time, in the Club’s history!
To honour that historic triumph 100 years ago, Town’s 2021/22 kit has been designed by Umbro to put a modern twist on the kit worn by that team.

The resemblance between the two kits is firstly noticeable through the wide stripes and the stylised collar.
One of the biggest introductions to the 2021/22 kit is the inclusion of the tonal Yorkshire rose, placed directly between the Huddersfield Town crest and the tonal Umbro logo. This pays tribute to the Yorkshire rose worn on the shirt in the final!
The FA Cup winners’ names feature on the inner neck of the shirt, so supporters and players are wearing history!
The three stars are also on the back of the shirt that honour Town’s Thrice Champions.
The shirt dons the logo of Town’s Principal Shirt Sponsor, Utilita Energy, on the front, and the SportsBroker logo on the back.
There’s also a twist on the home shirts this season! The shorts are white, like the 1922 FA Cup Final ones, and include a tonal Huddersfield Town crest and Umbro logo. They are both tonal as the shorts worn in the final were completely plain!
Finally, the home socks are black for the 2021/22 campaign, with a white cuff at the top that has a blue hoop going through it. Again, this is to mirror the kit worn 100 years ago.
The families of Ernie Islip, Billy Smith, who scored the winning goal, and Clem Stephenson were all invited to the John Smith’s Stadium to see the new kit ahead of the launch and pictured with it.

This is beyond both Huddersfield Town’s and Umbro’s control and because of the fluidity of the situation across many manufacturing regions all parties have been working tirelessly to reduce these delays as much as possible.
Huddersfield Town will endeavour to get the kit to supporters as soon as they physically can.
