Huddersfield Town’s pre-season preparations continue when they welcome Harrogate Town to Canalside for a behing-closed-doors pre-season friendly on Saturday 10 July; 1pm kick-off.
The encounter with Harrogate will be Town’s opening pre-season game, so supporters will be able to get an online glimpse into Carlos Corberán’s new Town side in action for the first time!
THE OPPOSITION
The encounter is also part of the Sulphurites’ pre-season schedule as they prepare for their upcoming season in Sky Bet League Two.
Managed by Simon Weaver, the Club finished 17th in the fourth-tier taking 57 points from 46 games.
Weaver was appointed as a player-manager of Harrogate Town in May 2009, making him English football’s longest serving manager in the top five tiers.
During his time in charge, Weaver has overseen two promotions, leading Harrogate to the National League for the first time in May 2018, and the English Football League for the first time in August 2020.
Although Harrogate’s line-up for Saturday is unknown, Jack Muldoon is a player worth watching. The Sulphurites top goalscorer last season, he netted 15 in 42 appearances. He also contributed five assists.
