Huddersfield Town midfielder Lewis O’Brien caught up with #HTTV to explain why training camps are important for team bonding.
Continuing their preparations for the 2021/22 Sky Bet Championship, the First Team are coming to the end of a four-day training camp in the south.
Starting in Colchester, the squad travelled to Norwich on Thursday (22 July 2021), and Lewis took the time to let us know how he thinks it’s gone so far.
“It’s been really good coming away with all the lads.
“Pre-season’s been pretty hard, but the last training session’s today been good.
“It’s massive for us all to go away together and spend this time away from our families.
“It really brings us together as a massive unit and basically helps us gel as a team.”
The team are set to play teams across a variety of different divisions across pre-season, and Lewis discussed the benefits the squad get from facing and array of different competition.
“I think it gives us different challenges in each and every game.
“For example, a team from League Two might be more direct, which’ll test us in a different way to Norwich tomorrow.
“We’ll probably have more of the ball, whereas we’ll be working a lot more on our defence in tomorrow’s game.”
