Huddersfield Town supporters can watch highlights from the B Team’s first pre-season friendly!
Jon Worthington’s side ran out 5-1 winners against Tadcaster Albion at the Global Season as preparations for their 2021/22 campaign continue.
It was the hosts who took the lead in the 26th minute through Jimmy Core.
Town were quick to respond to falling behind, piling on the pressure until Matty Daly was able to equalise by drilling an effort into the far top corner.
In the second half, the Young Terriers dominated the game, netting four more goals to take the lead and put the game to bed.
Brahima Diarra gave the visitors the lead in the 62nd minute, taking the ball around two defenders before stroking a shot past the keeper.
Diarra then bagged a brace just moments late, benefitting from Ben Jackson’s split effort as he smashed home the rebound.
Town were reduced to 10 men in the final third, but that didn’t disrupt their momentum as Josh Austerfield treated the fans to an outrageous shot cannon off the underside of the bar and go in from the edge.
Myles Bright took the final chance of the game, punishing a mistake from Tadcaster’s ‘keeper to add a fifth goal to the Young Terriers’ tally.
