- Midfielder represents Luxembourg internationally
- Norwich City man spent last season on loan in Belgium
Danel Sinani arrives at Huddersfield Town with a wealth of football experience under his belt across mainland Europe.
Born in Belgrade, Serbia, Danel and his family moved to Luxembourg when he was five years old. He was subsequently approached by other nations to represent them internationally, but chose to play for Luxembourg, which he feels is his home.
He started his senior career in his home nation with Racing FC Union Luxembourg before moving across the division to F91 Dudelange, and it was at the latter where he won the domestic league twice and the cup once.
Danel subsequently scored the first ever goal for a Luxembourgish club in the group stage of a European competition in November 2018, netting against Olympiacos.
Those achievements saw him named the 2019 Luxembourg Player of the Year, and he soon backed that up by another notable achievement in European football – scoring twice in a match against Spanish giants Sevilla.
In total, he netted 13 times in Champions League and Europa League competition and finished his final season at Dudelange with 24 goals in just 30 appearances.
Unsurprisingly, his name was being linked with several clubs of other nations at this point, and in April 2020 he moved to England to sign for Sky Bet Championship side Norwich City, signing a contract until 2023.
He quickly moved out on loan to further his experience of high-level football, joining Belgian top division side Waasland-Beveren in August. Danel went on to notch four goals in 21 appearances in all competitions and took his total for Luxembourg to six goals in 34 caps in the process.
