Huddersfield Town supporters can vote for Sonny Whittingham after he’s been nominated for the League Football Education’s Academy Goal of the Month for December!
The young midfielder is up against nine other nominations and you can help him win the coveted prize!
Sonny’s fabulous strike is Goal C on the vote. He received the ball on the edge of the area against Burton Albion and superbly curled a right-footed effort into the top corner from 20-yards out.

LFE was established by The English Football League (EFL) and The Professional Footballers’ Association in 2004. It is tasked with managing the Apprenticeship (ASE/SEP) programme at EFL clubs and is currently responsible for around 1,100 apprentices at 68 football clubs. The programme is funded by The Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA), The European Social Fund (ESF) and via football. LFE has been graded as ‘Outstanding’ across all areas of its provision by Ofsted.
