Goalkeeper departs Huddersfield Town
- Ben Hamer leaves Huddersfield Town
- Goalkeeper joins Swansea City for undisclosed terms
- Comments from Head of Football Operations Leigh Bromby
Huddersfield Town goalkeeper Ben Hamer has today completed a move to Sky Bet Championship side Swansea City.
The terms of the 33-year-old’s transfer to the Welsh side will remain undisclosed.
Hamer joined Town as a free agent in July 2018 and has since gone on to make 25 appearances for the Club in all competitions.
Huddersfield Town’s Head of Football Operations, Leigh Bromby, commented:
“Firstly, we’d like to thank Ben for his time with us; he’s a fantastic character and has done well for us this season.
“Ryan Schofield’s performances since breaking into the team would have resulted in a reduction in Ben’s future playing time, and we wanted to give Ben a chance to secure a contract with his running out at the end of the current season. With this in mind, this transfer made complete sense.
“We wish him all the best for the future.”
