One of Town’s big initiatives at Saturday’s ‘Terriers Together’ game against Stoke City has been made possible by the continued support by club partner Thornton & Ross.

Thornton & Ross are one of the Club’s longest serving partners, having supported the Terriers for over 12 years.

This season their distinctive Covonia brand adorns the First Team’s training and travel wear, but they have given that slot up for this weekend’s Sky Bet Championship clash in order for the Club to promote the important ‘Terriers Together’ message on special warm-up tops.

That will allow the Club to showcase that topic to a large audience, with Saturday’s game being broadcast live on Sky Sports as well as on the Club’s iFollow streaming service.

‘Terriers Together’ is the umbrella under which Town’s work in the fields of equality, diversity and inclusion falls, ensuring that everyone feels welcome when attending a match in normal times, or interacting with the Club and the Town Foundation in any other way.

Roger Scarlett-Smith of Thornton & Ross commented:

“Thornton and Ross (T&R) is pleased to be an official partner of Huddersfield Town Football Club.

“We share common values – the key to any successful partnership,

“This is especially true in relation to the 'Terriers Together' programme as, like HTAFC, T&R is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive culture. We are excited by the great work the Club has done over the last few years and will be sharing key leanings with our colleagues throughout 2021.

“T&R is committed to promoting equality by treating people fairly and with respect; by recognising inequalities exist; by taking steps to address them; and by providing access and opportunities for all members of the community.

“Together with HTAFC, our joint commitment is to eliminate all discrimination on the basis of age, disability, sex, gender reassignment, partnership status, pregnancy or maternity, race, religion or belief or sexual orientation.”

Huddersfield Town’s Senior Commercial Manager Tracy Nelson added:

“I’d like to sincerely thank Ruth and the team at Thornton & Ross for their continued support of the Club and everything it does.

“One of the major reasons that our partnership has been so long-lasting is that our two organisations share so much in common. One such belief is that discrimination has no place in any walk of life, and so Thornton & Ross had no hesitation in supporting our warm-up shirt initiative this weekend.”
