Huddersfield Town welcome Stoke City to the John Smith Stadium on Saturday 30 January 2021 in a Sky Bet Championship; 3pm kick-off.

The Terriers will be looking to bounce back from their midweek defeat against Bristol City and look for their first win of 2021.

Carlos Corberan’s side go into the game at the John Smith Stadium having taken no points from their last four league games, including two of those on home soil.

THE OPPOSITION

The Potters currently sit in 9th position in the Sky Bet Championship as they go into the second half of the season looking for a push into the Play-Off places.

Stoke are without an away win since the beginning of December. Since then, they have drawn all five of their away games leading up to today.

On the road the Potters have won four fixtures, drawing a further seven; that means they have only lost two fixtures away from home this season!

FORM GUIDE

Stoke come into this match also off the back of a defeat; they lost to Watford last weekend in the Sky Bet Championship.

Similar to Town, the Potters are yet to find their first league win of 2021, although they have picked up more points than the hosts, having clenched two points from their last four fixtures by holding both Blackburn Rovers and Rotherham United to a draw.

ONES TO WATCH

Nick Powell

The attacking midfielder is the Potters’ current top goal scorer of the season with seven goals to his name!

Usually playing in the number 10 role, Nick has been integral to Michael O'Neill's side this season. He also has two assists this year.

Jack Clarke

20-year-old Jack Clarke is one of the Potters’ newest members, signing on loan until the end of the season from Tottenham in the middle of January.

The winger has since gone on to make three appearances for the side in just two weeks.

The 19-year-old has two goals to his name this season and has also set up one for his teammates.

It is the Potters who have edged the record against the Terriers, winning 30 of the 77 encounters to Town’s 22, with the other 25 playing out as draws.
