Huddersfield Town B Team forward Micah Obiero has enjoyed the challenge of playing senior football, having recently returned from a loan spell at League Two side Carlisle United.

The Young Terrier went on loan to Carlisle in October and spoke to htafc.com about how the challenge helped him develop his own game.

"It was a really good taste of men's football for me, especially in League Two with it being more a battling style of football - it was really different to playing academy football.

"It was good to train with Carlisle as they are a physical side and it was very demanding.

"The experience has definitely helped me to gain more physicality about my game."

Obiero believed he was able to adapt to a different style of football at Carlisle, demonstrating his versatility as a forward.

"At Carlisle we played more long ball football with a focus on second ball, which I adapted to well.

"Here at Huddersfield we play a lot more on the floor and it’s all about movement.

“I think I've been able to adapt to both styles really well."

The forward has enjoyed life back at Huddersfield since his return and played an instrumental role in the Young Terriers' 5-1 home victory over Grimsby on Tuesday.

"I think Huddersfield’s style of play suits me a little bit better as I'm a technical player who likes to get the ball on the ground.

"I really enjoyed being on loan, but I've definitely enjoyed being back.

“Training has been going really well and I'm feeling good."

Micah and his B Team teammates will be back in action on Saturday afternoon, when they host Salford City. You can follow live match updates over on Town’s official Academy Twitter; @htafcacademy.
