Huddersfield Town can today confirm that Commercial Director Andy Ward has departed his role at the Club.
Andy, who joined the Club in June 2020, worked his final day at the Club on Friday and leaves with everyone’s best wishes, as Chief Executive Mark Devlin explains:
“On behalf of the Board and everyone at Huddersfield Town, I would like to thank Andy for his efforts during a difficult time for every football club as we navigate through the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Whilst the development and distribution of the vaccines provides us with much hope, 2021 is likely to be another very challenging year for football clubs, not least of all from a commercial standpoint. During these very challenging times, it is more important than ever that we achieve our commercial and revenue aspirations. Andy and I discussed the challenges ahead and agreed that this would be a good time for a change in direction commercially.
“Andy developed a good working relationship with the rest of the senior team and leaves with our thanks and best wishes.”
Mark added:
“We’re already well down the process of identifying our new Commercial Director and we should be in a position to announce the new appointment by the beginning of February.”
