Huddersfield Town Head Coach Carlos Corberán says the Terriers will have to be alert in order to bounce back against a strong Millwall side on Wednesday evening.

Town face the Lions in the Sky Bet Championship in midweek looking to get back to winning ways following defeat at Watford on Saturday.

Carlos says his side will have to be ready to produce a response in what will be a tough test against the London club.

“They are a team I don’t need to talk about how strong they are, they have performed really well in the last year,” he said.

“It’s a club with a lot of stability in their players. Their position in the table only makes them feel more dangerous.

“I think they are a dangerous team because they are not in a good position but with good players.

“They have all the possibilities to get a better result from this game.”

Speaking in his pre-match press conference on Tuesday afternoon, Carlos also provided the latest team news ahead of the midweek encounter.

After Richard Keogh signed from Milton Keynes Dons earlier in the day, Town’s Head Coach says the 34-year-old will be one of three centre-backs available for selection on Wednesday.

“The three centre-backs available will be Naby Sarr, Romoney Crichlow and Richard Keogh,” Carlos said.

“He’s (Naby Sarr) in a better condition, so we expect to have him in the first XI.

“(Rarmani) Edmonds-Green will miss the game because of the accumulation of games he’s played recently. We need to take this precaution to avoid a longer-term problem.

“(Richard) Stearman and (Christopher) Schindler we expect to be back in the next three to five weeks.”

Carlos also provided an update on Isaac Mbenza and Alex Pritchard and hopes that, all being well between now and then, both will be back in contention to face the Lions.

“Yesterday, Isaac could train with the group. It wasn’t an important training with the physical values, but today (Tuesday) he will train again, and I think he’s going to be on the bench.

“He’s been out for 18 to 20 days so he needs to get back to his level.

“Alex is the same. He’s recovered well and I expect to have him available tomorrow.”
