Huddersfield Town midfielder Juninho Bacuna admits that Town need to be sharper to prevent conceding ‘silly goals’ like at Bristol City.
The hosts scored twice in four minutes and although the Terriers fought hard, they were unable to pull the scoreline level.
Speaking to #HTTV after the game, Juninho explained how the team need to be sharper to prevent a repeat performance.
“We’re all really disappointed.
“We dominated and created chances, but we have to be sharper and more in front of the ball and score from the chances we get.
“We create a lot of chances and have a lot of possession, so we need to concentrate more at the back because we conceded silly goals and that can’t happen in this competition.
“On Saturday we need to be sharper and not concede silly goals.”
Town were able to pull a goal back in the second half, and it looked like a second was well on the way in the final 10 minutes, but unfortunately their chances came to no avail. Bacca commented on what the players need to continue working on ahead of Saturday.
“We had a lot of possession; we created a lot of chances and we can take that into the next game.
“We need to keep doing that at the next game and dominate the ball and the opponent.
“If we create chances the goals will come, so we have to keep working on that.
“We need to make sure we don’t rush it and be more careful on the ball because I think twice just lack in defences let them get through and they score.
“We have to be sharp in those moments and then we won’t concede those type of goals.”
