When the two sides met earlier this season, the Terriers recovered from two setbacks to win 3-2 showing great character against Neil Warnock’s side at the John Smith’s Stadium.

THE OPPOSITION

Middlesbrough currently sit 8th in the Sky Bet Championship table just six points from the Play-Off places!

They’ve managed to take 40 points from their 29 games during the current campaign, however they do come into this match without a win in their last five – losing four of them.

Former Town Manager, Neil Warnock, has turned the Club into one that was battling to stay in the second-tier of English football to one that’s challenging to make it into the Premier League.

At the Riverside, Boro has won seven of their 11 games this season. They have the ninth best home form in the Sky Bet Championship.

FORM GUIDE

Boro come into Tuesday night’s game off the back of a 2-1 defeat to Derby County; that was their fourth defeat in the last five games.

Their last win at the Riverside came back on Wednesday 16 December 2020 when they beat Luton Town 1-0.

Town are still looking for their first win of 2021 and come into the game off the back of a disappointing result against Wycombe Wanderers. The Terriers have only won twice away from home this season.
