20-year-old midfielder Scott High is this week’s B Team In Focus player!
The B Team skipper has had an impressive season so far, starting with a loan spell at Shrewsbury Town.
Scott linked up with his former Town Academy Coach Dean Whitehead and went on to impress, scoring his first senior goal against Middlesbrough in an EFL Cup match in September 2020. He made 13 starts and four substitute appearances for the Shrews across all competitions before being recalled in the January 2021 transfer window.
Since being back with the Terriers, High has been included in the First Team’s match day squad six times. He made his first appearance of the current campaign against Watford on Saturday 16 January 2021 when he replaced Aaron Rowe as a 69th minute substitute.
The midfielder’s competitive bow for the First Team actually came back in July 2020 when he replaced Andy King as a 77th minute substitute against Millwall on the last day of the 2019/20 Sky Bet Championship season.
The youngster is one of Town’s longest-serving scholars, having joined the Academy at Under-9 level from junior football in Penistone. He signed a new professional contract at ahead of last season that secures him to Town until the summer of 2022.
