Huddersfield Town Head Coach Carlos Corberán gave his reaction to the Terriers’ 3-2 defeat to Wycombe Wanderers in the Sky Bet Championship.

Town had been 2-0 up but conceded three times to come away from the encounter at the John Smith’s Stadium empty-handed.

Speaking post-match, Carlos reflected on the game.

“Nobody wanted this result, we wanted to come here to change the dynamic of not winning in the last six games.

“I think we did really well in the first 40 minutes of the game because we controlled the options of them and at the same time, we created some options to unbalance the game.

“After we scored the second, we had the option to score the third, but I could see we started to have some doubts in letting them close to our goal.

“I think this changed the mentality we were showing in the first half. Little by little, they started to command the game and our level of confidence started to decrease more.

“We couldn’t change the dynamic of a game that was very important for us to get a result from, but this is the situation we have to face right now.”

Town’s Head Coach is now eager for the Terriers to produce a response during Tuesday’s night trip to Middlesbrough in the Sky Bet Championship.

“What we need to do now is face this type of situation with all our courage, with all our confidence and all of our competitive levels to get the results we want to get.

“I think the fans now need to see the reaction of the team and what we will try to do is show that reaction in two days.

“What they want to see is a reaction and to get positive results fast.”
