- Boothy’s Beer & Banter makes a virtual return
- First episode taking place on Thursday evening
- Fans can join in and ask questions!
Town legend turned Club Ambassador Andy Booth will bring back the ever-popular ‘Boothy’s Beer & Banter’ on Thursday – and you can be a part of the evening for free!
Boothy’s Beer & Banter was always popular with supporters when it was held at Canalside pre-match, with special guests joining him from Town teams gone by to reminisce about their days at the Club.
Now we are bringing the event back virtually, with the first taking place this Thursday evening (11 February 2021), focusing on ‘The Warnock Era’!
Please note the first installment of Boothy's Beer & Banter has now reached capacity, however, it will be available for supporters to watch on #HTTV after the event.
Andy – himself a player under Neil in the mid-nineties – will be joined by two popular figures from the team that gained promotion at the old Wembley in 1995; the always colourful Darren Bullock and the super-sub turned cult hero Iain Dunn!
Boothy will host the evening, which is scheduled to start at 7pm and run for one hour, and will welcome a limited number of supporters onto the call to listen in live and ask their own questions! It’s completely FREE to join on Zoom; if you’re interested in joining the call, please email supporterservices@htafc.com to secure your space ASAP.
Please note – we’re not able to sensor live events, so we’re making Boothy’s Beer & Banter accessible to fans aged 18 and over.
Don’t worry – if you can’t make the call on Thursday evening, we’ll make the full episode available on Town’s YouTube channel, HTTV, in the following days. If we are oversubscribed we’ll try to ensure those who miss out can join another upcoming session live.
The plan is for Boothy’s Beer & Banter to be a weekly event and we’ve already lined up a load of other famous names that are set to appear over the coming weeks, including Iffy Onuora, Iwan Roberts, Jon Stead, Marcus Stewart and many more!
Boothy told htafc.com:
“It’s a tough time for everyone at the moment, as we all stay at home to try and combat the COVID-19 pandemic. We’re all missing the camaraderie that you get by coming down to the football on a weekend and seeing your friends.
“I used to love the Beer & Banter events – they were all about socialising with fellow Town fans – and I’m delighted we’re able to bring these back to supporters over Zoom.
“We’ve got some fantastic guests lined up over the next few weeks, and I’m sure Town fans will love to hear from them as we look back to some memorable times for the Club.
“It’s great that we can welcome some supporters onto the call live; hopefully it will keep a fair few people entertained as we await our return to the John Smith’s Stadium."
