LOAN: GIO BELLAGAMBI JOINS BRIGHOUSE TOWN

17 December 2021

Young shot-stopper to spend initial month in non-league

- Giosue Bellagambi joins Brighouse Town on loan
- Another loan in senior football for the 20-year-old
- Initial spell runs until 15 January 2022 inclusive

Huddersfield Town’s B Team goalkeeper Giosue Bellagambi has today joined local non-league side Brighouse Town on loan.

Gio, 20, will play for manager Vill Powell’s side, which plays in the Pitching In Northern Premier League East Division, until 15 January 2022, starting with Saturday’s away game at Dunston UTS.

Brighouse currently sit 10th in their table with 22 points from their opening 17 games.

This is a fourth loan spell in senior football for Gio, who joined the Town Academy from London side Lambeth Tigers during the summer of 2018. He’s previously spent time with Ramsbottom United, Ebbsfleet United and Stalybridge Celtic.

He’s been an unused substitute for the First Team once so far, which came in the Sky Bet Championship game at Swansea City earlier this season.

In other Friday moves, 17-year-old forward Evander Grubb has joined Bristol Manor Farm on work experience, with 18-year-old central midfielder Sonny Whittingham also joining Bury AFC.

Evander previously played for the Club and became the youngest ever goalscorer in the Emirates FA Cup for them at just 16!
