Huddersfield Town Head Coach Carlos Corberán spoke at full-time after drawing 1-1 away to Barnsley at Oakwell.

Having been pegged back on the stroke of half-time after taking the lead thanks to a brilliantly worked Lewis O’Brien opener, the Terriers were unable to make the most of several chances to regain the lead against the Tykes in the second-half.

Reflecting on the draw, Head Coach Carlos Corberán rued some missed opportunities, discussed what could have happened differently and shed some light on the slight change of shape in defence.

“I think in a general view of the game we had good chances to take something else.

“In terms of the number of chances, both teams were equal. As soon as we scored we had a couple of chances to unbalance the game and to change the dynamic.

“When the game is tied, details can change the game a lot. I think we didn’t make enough from the opportunities we had to score.

“When you have one less centre-back you have another player who can attack more, which today Turton was doing, which helped the team to be more aggressive.

“In the second half the problem was that we couldn’t break their press in our own half, and that’s why we didn’t have enough of the ball in the offensive half. When we did have opportunities, we didn’t finish well.”
