Huddersfield Town Head Coach Carlos Corberán says his side need to show one of their best performances to beat Bristol City on Saturday 18 December 2021.

When speaking to the press in his virtual press conference, Carlos discussed what he makes of the Sky Bet Championship side.

“We know that we need to show one our best performances to beat them.

“They’re in a different position to us, but there’s only three points difference.

“We always try to take control of the things that we can control and to be focused on them.

“We need to make the consequence of the game the result of our performances in attack and in defence.

“When we go to Bristol City, we will try to show them all of our strengths, because as a team we have many, to get the performance that we want to achieve.”

The Terriers go into Saturday’s game off the back of a disappointing 1-1 draw with Coventry City. Town’s Head Coach commented on the mood around the training group following the result.

“I have a group of very competitive players.

“They want to go into the next game the best that we can and show our best spirit.

“That’s why I always say that I am very happy to be working with this group of players.

“They are always looking for the next opportunity to improve our performances.”

The Spaniard also provided his latest injury update.

“Fortunately, we haven’t lost any players that were available against Coventry City.

“We didn’t talk about Rolando Aarons before Coventry.

“Before the game against Coventry, in the B Team game against Middlesbrough, he picked up an injury.

“We are waiting to talk with a specialist to see how long his recovery will be.

“It’s an injury to do with his knee.

“Since Coventry, we have recovered Danel Sinani.

“He had COVID-19, but he’s fully recovered now and has done all the medical tests and blood tests.

“He has completed a week of training.

“Pipa trained on Tuesday, Wednesday, and today.

“He will train tomorrow as well.

“Little by little, he is starting to have a normal recovery.

“He still has some pain, but the medical staff know that this is something normal.

“What’s important now, is getting him used to the high intensity work with the group, so that we can start to introduce minutes with the B Team to prepare him for the First Team.”
