We’re delighted to announce Magic Rock Brewing as the Club’s official craft beer partner!
This new partnership includes branding rights on the John Smith’s Stadium South Stand, a dedicated Magic Rock Craft Beer Bar, the creation of a special craft beer, Town Lager, and Magic Rock product availability across the stadium in retail and corporate areas, commencing at the start of the 2021/22 season.
Founded in 2011 by Richard Burhouse in an outhouse of the Burhouse family business, Magic Rock Brewing has been at the forefront of the UK beer scene for a decade, winning multiple industry awards, accolades, and achievements. In addition, they have continually flown the flag for their hometown of Huddersfield and been supporters of the Club since the early days of the business.

Rich Burhouse, Founder of Magic Rock Brewing and lifelong Huddersfield Town fan, says:
“As a lifelong Town fan, born and bred in Huddersfield, I am delighted that we will finally have Magic Rock Brewing’s beers pouring in the John Smith’s Stadium. It’s a dream come true for me, and I want to thank the Club for their support in making it happen.
“I’ve been supporting the team since 1981, and since we started Magic Rock in 2011, it’s been a priority of the brewery to champion locality and community wherever possible. Beer and football share much in common as far as being iconic symbols of community, so working more closely with Huddersfield Town is something we’ve always aspired to.
“Our brewery taproom in Birkby has become an integral part of the local community, particularly on match days, where our taproom has become part of the experience for many. This new agreement takes our partnership with HTAFC to the next level and will mean Town fans can now drink Magic Rock beers, brewed less than a mile away, in the stadium for the first time.

“I’m sure our supporters will welcome the introduction of Town lager, and in particular the introduction of Magic Rock products across a selection of our stadium bars.

Brewed by Town fans, for Town fans, Town Lager is a crisp, clean, and refreshing pilsner-style beer that is perfect for those edge of your seat tackles, jaw-dropping goals, celebration dances and all the moments in-between. The beer will be available to purchase from the stadium at all home matches and available in 440ml cans to Town fans through HTAFC and Magic Rock web channels and Magic Rock Taprooms from Tuesday 10 August 2021.
