Romoney Crichlow has today joined Sky Bet League 2 side Swindon Town on a season-long loan.

As part of the agreement, the Club has the option to recall the 22-year-old defender during the January 2022 transfer window.

Romoney, who joined the Town Academy from Enfield Borough in 2017, has experience of senior football through prior loan spells at Bradford (Park Avenue), Hartlepool United and Welling United.

He made six senior appearances for the Terriers across the Championship and cups in the 2020/21 campaign, scoring his first Town goal against Plymouth Argyle in the Emirates FA Cup in January 2021.

Now he joins the Sky Bet League 2 club in search of regular First Team football.

Head of Football Operations Leigh Bromby explained:

“This has been a really productive week in securing important loan moves for our developing players, with Romoney’s move to Swindon Town following closely on from similar moves for Rarmani Edmonds-Green and Matty Daly.

“Romoney made some big strides forward last season, and he’s now at the stage where regular First Team football is very important for him. That’s not something we can guarantee here currently, so this move is ideal for everyone.

“The experience should really benefit Romoney and we look forward to seeing how he fares at Swindon over the coming months.”
