- First international call-up for the young midfielder
- Reward for an excellent start to the Championship season
Town midfielder Scott High has received his first call-up to the Scotland Under-21 squad!
The 20-year-old midfielder’s call-up comes on the back of a good start to the new Sky Bet Championship campaign.
After loan spells at Concord Rangers and Shrewsbury Town to gain senior experience, Scott made 14 substitute appearances last season and has now started four of our last five competitive fixtures, impressing in the engine room with some high-energy performances.
A graduate of Town’s Academy, Scott was born in England but qualifies for Scott Gemmill’s side through his Scottish grandmother.
Alongside his new international teammates, Scott has been summoned for the UEFA Under-21 Championship qualifier in Turkey on Tuesday 7 September 2021.
Alongside Scott, Town B Team defender Brodie Spencer (above), 17, has been called up to the latest Northern Ireland Under-19 squad, and is in line for a possible debut at that level when they face the Faroe Islands in an upcoming pair of international friendlies.
Brodie, who hails from near Belfast, is part of the squad that hosts the games on Wednesday 1 September and Friday 3 September, having previously been part of two training squads under Gerard Lyttle.
